QTC+ Kit for IN-8-2, XN11, Z570M, ZM1082 and Many Others

Used this kit to build my first nixie clock. It is not very difficult if you know to solder a pcb.
The manual is easy to understand. Used IN-8-2 nixies for this clock. Support PVE is perfect! Had some trouble with the final stage of building, but was solved very fast after an email. I will recommend this to everyone who wants to build a nixie clock....

The first QTC clock I've built and it was fun. Clock works great and the tube cells will be super time savers IF one of my tubes ever dies. Excellent board layout and good instructions and graphics. Pete is a great guy to work with....

This was the first Nixie Clock i have ever built and it was great fun!
Without a lot of experience in soldering i managed to complete it within about 10hrs, thanks to the thorough instructions.
I love the RBG led control and the general ease of use when operation the clocks settings.
it is also very accurate after adjusting it's speed in the menu, i have had it running for 4 days now since first adjusting it and it has not lost or gained even half a second yet!
With this i also wanted to thank Pete for his outstanding costumer service, he answered every single one of my questions and was quick to reply.
Overall i am very happy with my purchase and am already thinking about buying the next kit...
Greetings from Germany!
Konrad....

I’ve bought a number of the PV Electronics kits over the past couple of years, including several QTC and IN-12 kits, and am consistently impressed with the quality of the kits. The instructions are clear, the boards and components of good quality, and help is at hand from Pete if you get stuck. The QTC quick tube change feature is a great idea allowing you to swap out tubes with the same nixie clock kit to find the tubes you like best. You just need to buy separately the boards for the other tube types (I have changed between IN-8-2, Z573M and IN-14 tubes with the same clock kit). Also, if you mess up soldering in the tube you don't have to de-solder it from the main board and potentially also mess that board up.
One feature that a number of the PV kits have, including the QTC kits, is ‘weekday aware’. This is a really useful feature that allows you to shut down the tubes for a selected period during the day on week days, when you are at work, or at the weekends, and helps prolong the life of your tubes. Most other kits and ready-made nixie clocks available do not have this feature.
I have also bought GPS receivers for the clocks. These are a really useful additional feature that save you having to manually set the date/time on the clock. When you go away on holiday and switch off your clock, when you switch it back on again on your return the GPS receiver will automatically set the clock to the correct date and time.
I unreservedly recommend the QTC nixie clock kits from PV Electronics....

This is the second kit I have bought, the first being the IN-8.
I was originally going to use this as a remote base to put in an enclosure of some kind but the quality and look of the kit when finished just cries out to be displayed in the "nude"
The quality of the boards is excellent and the component locations are clearly marked. Another nice feature are the little notes on the board telling you which way to place components that are directional.
I did make a slight change because I have decided to show it off in it's naked glory in that I mounted the information (RTF/GPS, Alarm & DST) leds so they point up instead of to the rear so I can see them more clearly.
They colour choice for the display leds is immense, don't forget that it needs to be set for each hour independently of the tubes so if you have the tubes set to "off" during the night then you also need to set the leds to off....
