Nixie Clock QTC+ With ZM1210 Tubes
[QTC1210TU]
Very impressed with this. My first nixie clock build, and was a piece of cake with excellent instructions (they contained a couple of mistakes but nothing serious), took me about six hours to build. My only slight worry was that all six tubes required a fair bit of twisting (which bends and possibly stresses the wires) before soldering to get them in the right orientation on the mini push-on PCBs. I think the holes on the PCB could be better aligned for this tube. Also getting them all at the same height above the PCB was a bit tricky, but it's not that big a deal because there is a couple of mm height leeway when pushing the mounting PCBs on to the pin connectors on the main board. Anyway, the end result is a beautiful clock that is accurate to a fraction of a second with the added GPS receiver. The ZM1210 is a great looking tube and well worth the extra over IN14s.
